Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel

How Does the Istanbul Stopover Program Work?

Those flying internationally on flights operated by Turkish Airlines via the Istanbul Airport (with a layover of at least 20 hours and up to 7 days) are eligible for the program. However, it’s important to know that travellers must submit applications for the program at least 72 hours before the applicable flight. Turkey has also recently removed the need for a visa for visitors staying up to 90 days. Making it easier for people to stop, stay, and explore the city.

Under this program, travellers will also benefit from complimentary accommodation at partner hotels in Istanbul. Those flying Business Class are specifically entitled to 3 nights in a 5-star or boutique hotel. Hilton Bomonti Hotel, Le Méridien Istanbul Etiler, and Radisson Blu Şişli are a few of the fantastic hotels that can be booked complimentary - contact a member of our team to find out more. While many are not located in the heart of the city centre, they are typically only a 10 - 20 minute taxi ride or drive away from popular tourist attractions. Explore the Blue and Hagia Sophia Grand Mosques, take photos of the Dolmabahçe Palace, or Stroll through Yıldız Park. This program can only be utilised once, either on the outbound or inbound trip.

Turkish Airlines Business Class

What is Business Class like on Turkish Airlines?

Turkish Airlines currently has two types of Business Class products, depending on the aircraft and route. The 777-300ER is fitted out with a 2-3-2 cabin layout and features a long and open, fully flat bed design. Meanwhile, the newer A350 features 8 rows in a 1-2-1 layout with direct aisle access. This seat is narrower but offers increased privacy, storage, and a modern entertainment system.
Throughout your flight, Business Class travellers will experience award-winning dining with the finest examples of Turkish and world cuisines. As well as, priority check-in, lounge access (where available), and additional baggage allowance are all included as standard.

You can read our reviews of both the 777-300ER and A350 products on our website.

How Can I Book with Flat Beds?

While hotels can be booked by travellers themselves while still claiming the complimentary stay, we would highly encourage clients to book through Flat Beds. Sadly, many have booked themselves incorrectly in the past, or haven’t checked what has been booked until it is too late - only to find they’ve booked for one passenger and not two, only booked for 2 nights instead of three, and so on.

Here at Flat Beds, we have a team of skilled Airfare Specialists who can book Business Class flights and put together complex itineraries with ease. With knowledge only gained from years in the travel industry, we’ll help you find the best deal possible and build your itinerary to maximise the benefits of this program. We can help you ensure everything is booked correctly and manage your flights as well as your accommodation, all in one convenient place - we only charge a small fee of $110 to book the complimentary hotel as part of the stopover program.
