This summer United Airlines will begin flying their Boeing 777-300ER with the Polaris Business Class between Sydney and San Francisco. The daily flights will run from the 3rd of December until the 27th of March 2020.
United Polaris Business Class
The United Polaris business class has been the most significant upgrade for the airline in almost a decade. The cabin is arranged in a 1-2-1 configuration giving all passengers aisle access, the middle seats alternating between being closer together or being separated by the console. All of the suite-like pods provide maximum privacy to passengers, with the closer middle seats being better for couples travelling together. Other features of the seat include mood lighting, lumbar support, multiple storage areas, separate work and dining surface areas and 16-inch high definition personal entertainment screens.
Polaris is designed to give you "the best sleep in the sky"
United have designed the Polaris business class to have a sleep focussed service, with that in mind, the seat converts to a 6 foot 6 fully flatbed and a ‘do not disturb’ sign can be activated. To make sure their passengers have “the best sleep in the sky” united have also provided luxury bedding from Saks 5th Avenue, slippers, gel cooled pillows, calming lavender pillow mist and amenity kits from Soho House & Co.’s Cowshed Spa, pyjamas are also available on request. The Polaris amenity kits and bedding will still be available onboard when the service returns to being operated by a 787 Dreamliner from 28 March 2020.

For passengers not wanting to sleep can enjoy the Polaris fining dining experience which includes a five-course meal featuring an appetizer, salad, choice of a main meal, a cheese course, and a selection of desserts including the United signature ice cream sundae.
