Singapore Airlines To Return Non-Stop Services To Sapporo In December 2024

Tue, 23 Jan 2024

Singapore Airlines has announced the return of its non-stop flights between Singapore and Sapporo New Chitose Airport from 1 December 2024 to 31 January 2025. They will operate the five-times weekly services with the medium-haul variety of its Airbus A2350-900 aircraft. This will allow travellers to fly directly to Hokkaido for the peak ski season.

These flights were last in service on 6 January 2020, with the pandemic being a result of their absence. This has resulted in many travellers having to make connections in other Japanese cities like Tokyo and Fukuoka in order to reach Sapporo from Singapore with a full-service carrier.

Singapore Airlines Sapporo Schedule

Singapore Airlines will restart non-stop flights to Sapporo five times per week from December 2024, in a seasonal schedule that usually runs for around five weeks, operating until 31 January 2025.

SQ660 is scheduled to depart Singapore in the evening at 11pm, with a morning arrival into Sapporo New Chitose Airport at 7:30am the following day. On the return, SQ661 will depart relatively early at 8:55am, and arrive in Singapore around 4:40pm the same afternoon.

Singapore Airlines Sapporo Schedule Returns

This is similar with the previous short-term operation of this service pre-pandemic, with the route also operating five times per week. This will see only around 75% seat capacity compared to the previous schedule.

A positive is the Business Class capacity is almost identical, thanks to the A350 40-seat cabin compared to the A330’s smaller 30 seat cabin. The Business Class experience is also significantly better, with direct aisle fully flat beds and free wi-fi.
