Qatar Airways and Virgin Australia have officially commenced the launch of their strategic partnership.
Travellers from both airlines will benefit from seamless access to both carriers network together over 500 global destinations, bonus airline points, lounge access and priority boarding and check in.
Virgin Australia Velocity Members are the biggest winners from the partnership. All Velocity members will earn points on Qatar flights operated by both QR or VA flight numbers while Silver, Gold and Platinum members can earn between 50-100% bonus points when flying on a Qatar Airways flight with a VA flight number. Velocity Status Credits can also be earned on Qatar flights, with the value dependent on distance and fare class.
Gold and Platinum members will enjoy an additional perk with priority check in and boarding plus Qatar Airways lounge access, including access to third party lounges in locations where Qatar doesn’t operate their own lounge.
Qatar Airways Rewards are now live on the Virgin Australian website allowing passengers to use Velocity Points to book Qatar flights. Velocity Members will also benefit from discounted fares when booking on the Qatar website until 31st March 2023.
Qatar Airways Privilege Club members will earn double Avios points when travelling on any Virgin Australia flight until 5th December 2022.
