From as early as 28 October this year, LATAM Airlines Reintroduces Non-Stop Sydney Flights to Santiago. The 12-15 hour route is set to operate four times weekly, adding to the already existing connection between Sydney to Santiago via Auckland from March 2022.

Claiming it as a ‘significant milestone for Latam Airlines’ by Chris Ellis, Latam Airlines Country Manager for Oceania, the new non-stop route will operate as per below.

LA810 will depart Sydney every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 12:10 pm and arrive in Santiago at 11:00 am same day.

LA809 will depart Santiago every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 1:40 am and arrive in Sydney 6:30am the following morning.

Saving around 4 hours of flight time with the non-stop flight to Sydney versus the service with a layover in Auckland, this added alternative for travellers enhances their overall travel experience by saving time as well as more travel options.

“From October, passengers can choose from daily direct services between Australia and Chile, including four direct flights from Sydney and three from Melbourne every week, in addition to our flights via Auckland. That’s a wealth of options for our customers”.

With Latam Airlines reintroducing non-stop Sydney flights, the Australian departures will be in the carrier’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner with a two class configuration. Business Class seats fill a 2-2-2 cabin configuration, meaning some passengers won’t get direct aisle access.
