Etihad Airways has recently unveiled its new Boeing 787 Dreamliner seats at the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai. The Abu Dhabi based carrier expects to debut the new Business Class seats along with a range of additional features on its upcoming Dreamliners starting August 2023.
Selecting the Elements seat from Collins, one of the most prestigious aircraft interior design companies, makes Etihad the first airline worldwide to select the seat for a Dreamliner. The airline customised the Business Class cabin, increasing the height of the suites from the original which debuted on the Airbus A350, while adding additional features such as direct aisle access, privacy doors, a fully-flat 78-inch bed and a 17.3-inch TV screen with 4K resolution.
A significant change to Etihad's Dreamliner onboard technology will see the Dreamliner’s Business Class cabins be fitted with new Rave Ultra 4K inflight entertainment screens. These IFE screens offer Bluetooth connectivity, allowing you to pair phones and tablets and use them as remotes. The technology upgrade continues with Etihad selecting new Wifi equipment that will allow streaming in flight along with allowing the airline to provide live television.
In addition to new seats and technology upgrades, Etihad Airways has also announced a partnership with Armani / Casa to develop its soft product range for Business Class passengers. The “Constellation Collection” as named by Etihad and Armani, features a range of luxury bedding, amenity kits and other dinnerware items designed to enhance the passenger experience. Offering a ‘Elevated Style’ experience for Etihad’s guests, the range is embellished with a unique geometric pattern that subtly adorns the collection. The collection is designed in line with the airline’s commitment to sustainability. Durable, high-quality material and innovative designs have reduced equipment weight by up to 10%, resulting in less fuel burn and fewer emissions.
