Emirates is set to restore its daily flights between Adelaide and Dubai, reigniting the vital link between South Australia and the world. The Gulf carrier plans to recommence services from late October, promising enhanced travel options for South Australians and a significant economic boost for the region (view pricing details here).
Starting from Monday 28 October, the daily Emirates flights will be operated by the Boeing 777-200LR aircraft. This will offer 38 Emirates Business Class seats, arranged in a 2-2-2 layout, each with a fully flat bed. Notably, an all-new 1-2-1 Business Class is on the horizon, to give travellers the sought after direct aisle access. Economy class will host 264 seats, while no Premium Economy will be on offer due to the 777 model not being equipped with this class. The relaunched service provides a total of 302 seats per flight and over 4,200 weekly seats connecting Dubai and Adelaide.
Flight EK441 will depart from Adelaide at 10:35pm, reaching Emirates hub, Dubai at 5:15am the following day. Conversely, flight EK440 will take off from Dubai around 2 am, arriving in Adelaide at 8:50pm on the same day. Emirates assures that the flight timetable, spanning 13 hours, is strategically aligned with its ‘prime European arrival and departure times’, promising a route with optimal connections of less than four hours.
Adelaide initially welcomed Emirates in 2012, but flights were temporarily halted in March 2020 due to the global pandemic. Now, with the world gradually reopening its borders, Adelaide joins Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth as Emirates re-establishes its presence.
As a Qantas partner, passengers can book these Emirates Business Class flights under a Qantas codeshare. This not only provides convenience for travellers, but also earns them a full serve of Qantas Points and Status Credits to help customers maintain their membership status.
With its extensive global network comprising over 140 destinations, Emirates will re-establish crucial air connections for travellers from Adelaide, ensuring seamless travel from the Middle east, the UK, Europe, India, and the eastern United States. This renewed accessibility promises to unlock unprecedented opportunities for both leisure and Business Class travellers.
Emirates triumph return not only elevates Adelaide’s international connectivity but also reinforces the city’s position as a global travel hub. With Emirates joining the ranks of international airlines serving Adelaide, the city will now boast connections to ten major airlines, solidifying its standing on the world travel map.
As Emirates proudly reinstates its daily flights between Adelaide and Dubai, marking a significant milestone for South Australia, now is the time to plan your next trip!
