SkyTeam Lounge Sydney Review
Curious what’s down the escalators of this Sydney Business Class Lounge? We visited to find out…

On a visit to Sydney International Airport, our team members had the chance to check out the SkyTeam Lounge. It welcomes Business Class and First Class passengers on SkyTeam member airlines. If you are flying with China Eastern Airlines, Korean Air, Vietnam Air or Delta Airlines, you will have the chance to visit this lounge!

The SkyTeam Lounge Sydney has space for 140 guests and was refurbished in 2022, making it quite modern and clean. A standout was the incredible floor to ceiling windows with tarmac views.

SkyTeam Lounge Layout and Design

After being checked-in by reception, I went down the elevators into the SkyTeam Lounge. There are quite a few different nooks in this lounge and it feels quite small compared to say the Qantas International Business Class in Sydney. One end has all the food and beverage options, while the other end has more comfortable seating and spaces.

SkyTeam Lounge Seating

I did appreciate the variety of seating options that catered for different things. There were dining tables designed for 2 people, as well as more booth-style seating for families. Travellers will be pleased with the work benches featuring powerpoints and space for laptops and food. Inside the lounge you will also find armchairs, ottomans and even massage chairs - Make sure to get in quick with those!

Dining and Beverages

The lounge has a smaller selection of hot meals and self-serve food options. I was here around breakfast, so there were the standard bites like yoghurt, fruit, and cheeses. Plus toast, pastries, danishes, pancakes and cereal were in a separate section closer to the seating area. It might be easy to miss, as it is not near the main food/bar area. There are more hot breakfast options such as scrambled eggs, beans, potatoes, bacon etc. One of the standouts is the noodle bar with made-to-order meals where you can choose from a selection of sips. We would highly recommend trying it out.

Enjoy a self-serve drinks fridge and coffee machine so that you don't have to wait at the bar if it is busy. There’s a selection of soft drinks, wines as well as spirits with accompanying garnishes. The bar with barista made coffee (alternative milk options available), was a nice touch for a morning pick-me-up! They also serve beer on tap and a variety of wines.

SkyTeam Lounge Facilities

There aren’t a lot of standout facilities within this Business Class lounge but it still uses the space well. At the back of the lounge there is a meeting room which can be booked at the front desk. There are also a few quiet call rooms which are first in best dressed. This really reflects the corporate travellers’ needs.

The SkyTeam Lounge Sydney also has a few private bathrooms with shower facilities. This also needs to be booked at the front desk when you arrive, and you are given a time slot. But in the morning when I was there they all seemed pretty free!

SkyTeam Lounge Shower Facilities

Overall, the SkyTeam Lounge Sydney offers a clean, modern space with great tarmac views, a solid range of seating options and convenient essentials like showers and quiet rooms. While the dining selection is modest, highlights such as the noodle bar, barista coffee and well-placed workspaces make it a practical and comfortable stop for Business Class travellers flying with SkyTeam partners.
