Singapore Airlines Now On Sale From Western Sydney International
The first tickets from Western Sydney International will be going on sale now with Singapore Airlines.

Inaugural international tickets for Western Sydney International (WSI) Airport are on sale right now with Singapore Airlines. The release of these tickets marks a historic moment for all who have played a role in the new airport’s development, as Australia's first international greenfield airport in 50+ years.

"We mark a terrific milestone moment today with our first international airline partner, Skytrax certified 5-Star carrier Singapore Airlines, now giving passengers the first opportunity to book tickets from Western Sydney International Airport," said WSI CEO Simon Hickey.

Inaugural Services from Singapore Airlines

Singapore Airlines has stated that these new services will deliver more choice and strengthen connectivity for travellers. Services from Singapore Airlines at WSI will commence with daily non-stop flights beginning on 23 November 2026. These flights will depart Singapore at 11:30 am (local time) and arrive at the new WSI airport at 10:20 pm (local time). The aircraft will then service return flights on the same day at 11:55 pm, arriving in Singapore at 5:05 am (local time) the following morning.

"Western Sydney's late-night departure capacity will enable a seamless travel journey and connections through Singapore Changi Airport, to more than 130 global destinations served by the SIA Group," said Dai Haoyu, senior vice president marketing planning, Singapore Airlines.

Singapore Announces Extra Services to Gatwick

Due to increased demand across Australia, Singapore Airlines will also be deploying its Airbus A380 aircraft on the Melbourne-Singapore route. Adding supplementary services between Singapore and London, Gatwick, in the Northern Summer 2026 season.

From late-March to late-October, they will operate the Airbus A380 on daily flights (SQ228 and SQ237) between Melbourne and Singapore. This will replace the Boeing 777-300ER that usually runs during this period. They will also operate services (SQ314 and SQ313) between Singapore and London, Gatwick, using the Airbus A350-900 long-haul aircraft.

Singapore Airlines Business Class

Daily services from Singapore will operate on the Airbus A350-900. Which features 303 seats in two cabin classes, 40 in Business class. The cabin is configured in a 1-2-1 layout with direct aisle access for every passenger. While services to Gatwick on the A380 offer travellers 471 seats across 6 in Suites, with 78 in Business Class.

Those travelling with the airlines can expect fully flat beds, ample storage space, and even a ‘Book the Cook’ service, where you can reserve your main courses up to 24 hours before you fly.
