Renovations of the SilverKris Lounge in Melbourne have commenced, expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

Singapore Airlines has shared some exciting news with travellers with the commencement of construction for their brand new SilverKris Lounge at Melbourne Airport. The renovations are expected to be completed by the end of 2026. Travellers can still use the current SilverKris Lounge in Melbourne - it will continue to be accessible while work is underway.

What Changes are Coming to the SilverKris Lounge in Melbourne?

The carrier is rolling out enhancements that will elevate the travel experience for its premium and corporate travellers departing from and through Melbourne. Once the changes have been made, Singapore Airlines travellers can look forward to a new Level 3 International Departures location with convenient access to international boarding gates. As well as an increased seating capacity with an overall 30% more space across the lounge.

First Class and Business Class areas have been separated, accommodating 170+ guests in total. The look and feel of the space has been thoughtfully designed to be brighter and offers runway views - signature design elements have been inspired by the flagship SilverKris Lounge in Singapore. Like the 3D batik feature wall and bespoke wingback chairs embroidered with their batik motif. Lastly, lounge visitors will enjoy enhanced dining and amenities. First Class travellers will have an all-new à la carte dining menu. Meanwhile, Business Class travellers will receive a live cooking station, buffet and bar.

The lounge currently offers a selection of warm food and light snacks, barista coffee, wireless internet, showers, and more.

Lounge entitlements will differ according to each airport and are based on your immediate departing Singapore Airlines or Star Alliance flights.
