What to Expect of the New A321XLRs

The single-aisle jet has Qantas Business Class passengers anticipating the arrangement of the cabin. Typically, they are arranged with one seat either side of the aisle, compared to a 2-2 configuration with reclined seats. There are plenty of options on Qantas’ radar for the international A321XLR fleet.

The A321XLRs are designed with long-range and often overnight travel in mind, so we’re hoping these Qantas Business Class seats are on par with the comfort of other single-aisle jets. Whether it be similar to Singapore Airlines’ Boeing 737 Max Seat, American Airlines’ A321XLR Flagship Suite, or Etihad’s A321LR First Class suite- Qantas Business Class on the A321XLR should be a hit!

All seats onboard will also feature seatback entertainment along with fast, free Wi-Fi. These elements are noticeably missing from other domestic jets.

How to Fly Qantas Business Class on the New A321XLRs

These XLRs will appear on “trans-continental services to and from Perth,” as well as short- and medium-range international routes, predominantly between Australia and Asia.

Qantas Group CEO Vanessa Hudson says the fully flat beds will be “well suited for longer domestic sectors like Sydney and Melbourne to Perth, and creating new possibilities for our international network on routes like Perth to India or Adelaide to Singapore.”

“They’ll also provide a more consistent premium experience for customers flying domestically and connecting onto our long-haul international network, like Brisbane- Perth-London.”

Thanks to additional high-capacity fuel tank to boost its non-stop capability, the long-legged A321XLRs can connect Australia non-stop to most of south-east Asia.
