What are the benefits of Hawaiian joining oneworld?

“We are thrilled to join this extended ‘ohana, or family of the world’s best airlines,“ said CEO of Hawaiian Airlines, Diana Birkett Rakow.

From their hub at Daniel K. Inouye International Airport in Honolulu, Hawaiian Airlines currently serves 26 destinations around the world - including oneworld hubs in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Sydney, and Tokyo. This partnership will further strengthen oneworld’s global network and presence across the Pacific region. It will also unlock greater travel opportunities across the Hawaiian Islands as well as brand new destinations - this will ensure a more seamless experience for travellers, as it will enhance the connectivity to/from the islands of Hawaii.

“We are delighted to officially welcome Hawaiian Airlines into the oneworld family, further strengthening our alliance’s footprint in the Pacific region and the United States,” said CEO of oneworld, Ole Orvér.

Moving forward, travellers with Hawaiian Airlines will enjoy access to almost 1,000 global destinations across the alliance network. Top tier passengers will also gain access to oneworld priority benefits - such as First Class check-in, lounges, and fast-track security lanes at selected airports, regardless of cabin class.

“Renowned for its award-winning service for almost 100 years, Hawaiian Airlines will make travel to the beautiful islands of Hawai‘i more connected and rewarding for oneworld customers, delivering an elevated journey that brings the spirit of aloha to our alliance," added Orvér

What is Hawaiian Airlines Business Class Like?

Hawaiian Airlines boasts a fleet of 61 state-of-the-art aircrafts - including the Airbus A321neo, Boeing 717, and its flagship Airbus A330. This aircraft is scheduled for long-haul routes between Honolulu and Los Angeles, New York, Sydney and Tokyo.

Business Class on the Airbus 330 is currently arranged in a 2-2-2 format with 18 seats across 3 rows. Travellers with Hawaiian Airlines can expect amenity kits designed in partnership with NoHo Home by Jalene Kanani Bell, featuring a range of comforts for the flight - these kits are sustainability-focused and available for International long-haul passengers. Tablets are also provided on the A330, accompanied by USB ports and full AC power so you can connect and recharge during your flight. The cuisine has been designed with local ingredients that spotlight Hawaiian culture, with unique dishes that give travellers a taste of the islands while onboard.

The airline has previously shared plans to update its A330 Business Class product sometime in 2026. This upgrade will replace the current outdated models found on the A330.
