Malaysia Airlines has shared news of all-new flights between Brisbane and Kuala Lumpur, as well as their plans to increase flights to Sydney and Melbourne.

Travel Business Class with Malaysia Airlines to destinations across Europe such as London, Paris, Milan, and more. Once settled into the 1-2-1 or 2-2 configuration, you’ll enjoy a more comfortable and spacious journey with direct aisle access as well as free departure gate transfers and lounge access.

Many travellers who fly with Oman Air will also take advantage of flights with Malaysia Airlines. This is due to the codeshare agreement between the two airlines. Flying on an Oman Air Business Class deal will allow you to travel between Australia and Europe with stopovers in key Asian gateways and in their hub, Muscat. Commonly, passengers will take Malaysia Airlines to Kuala Lumpur and continue the rest of their journey with Oman Air.

What’s New & What’s Improved?

Flights to Brisbane will commence on 29 November 2025 and operate 5 times weekly as flights MH135 and MH134. These new flights are available for immediate sale with special introductory fares for a limited-time only. Contact an Airfare Specialist for more information.

Malaysia Airlines also announced increased flights between Sydney and Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur. Travel between Kuala Lumpur and Sydney will run on flights MH251 and MH250. Flights between Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne will run on MH147 and MH136. These new flights will commence on 29 August 2025.

What's Next?

Further increases will ultimately see the airline offer 3 daily services ex. Sydney and Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur, onwards from 30 October 2025. The increased frequency will offer improved connectivity to key cities across South East Asia and North Asia - these destinations can turn into great stopovers on long-haul trips to Europe. The new Melbourne and Sydney flights are now available for immediate sale.
