Malaysia Airlines Expands Flights Between Adelaide and Kuala Lumpur
Malaysia Airlines is adding daily flights between Adelaide and Kuala Lumpur on their A330neo.

Malaysia Airlines has just announced it’s taking significant steps to expanding, starting with an upgrade to the Adelaide-Kuala Lumpur route. From November 2025, the airline will increase its service offerings from five to six flights per week. By February 2026, Malaysia Airlines will operate the route daily, providing more travel options for Business Class travellers. Alongside this, the airline will introduce the Airbus A330neo, a modern, fuel-efficient aircraft to this route.

Expect a comfortable and spacious journey on Malaysia Airlines Business Class. It’s one of our most popular partner airlines for customers flying with Oman Air. This is due to the codeshare agreement between the two airlines. Travelling on an Oman Air Business Class deal will allow passengers to get between Australia and Europe with transits in key Asian gateways and in their hub, Muscat. Often, passengers will fly Malaysia Airlines to Kuala Lumpur and continue the rest of their journey with Oman Air.

Flights will depart from Adelaide at 9:50am and arrive in Kuala Lumpur at 4:00pm that afternoon. Return flights will see a 10:25pm departure from Kuala Lumpur, then back in Adelaide at 7:00am the following morning.

These additional flights will see a significant impact to both South Australia’s tourism and a stronger connectivity to Malaysia and beyond. Apart from Adelaide, Malaysia Airlines has unveiled further network expansions, providing Australian Business Class travellers with more destinations to then connect onto. These destinations include Chengdu, China and Thiruvananthapuram, India.
