LATAM Airlines Increases To 4 Times Weekly From Melbourne to Santiago

LATAM Airlines is a familiar presence at Tullamarine, with three weekly flights connecting Melbourne to its Santiago hub. Starting December 4, the South American carrier will add a fourth weekly flight to this route.

Operated by the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, this service provides Victorians with quick access to over 120 destinations across South America, including Buenos Aires, Lima and Rio de Janeiro.

This 13-hour trans-Pacific journey compliments LATAM’s existing daily service from Sydney to Santiago via Auckland and the upcoming four-times weekly direct Sydney-Santiago route commencing on October 28. The updated Melbourne schedule from December includes:

LA804 departs Melbourne on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:30pm, arriving in Santiago at 11:20am the same day
On Wednesdays and Saturdays, LA804 leaves Melbourne at 12:00pm, landing in Santiago at 11:00am the same day
LA805 departs Santiago at 12:55am on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, arriving in Melbourne at 5:25am the following day

Passengers in LATAM’s Dreamliner Business Class will enjoy lie-flat seats, though these are in the older 2-2-2 configuration, meaning not all seats have direct aisle access.
