Etihad Airways has today announced that it is changing its flight schedule between Melbourne and Abu Dhabi from the 27th of October, adding an extra flight per week out of Melbourne from the end of March. Etihad will operate its Dreamliner product out of Melbourne for the additional flight; the current flight will continue to operate the Boeing 777.

Etihad hopes this will give customers more flight options and connect Australian customers with its European network, including Amsterdam, Frankfurt, London, Munich, Rome, Zurich, and more!

Recent Schedule Changes

In the past month, many airlines have updated their flight schedules out of Australia, offering fast and more frequent connections to major international destinations.

• Singapore Airlines announced they are increasing the total number of flights to Brisbane to 25 per week.
• Fiji Airlines is expanding its footprint in the USA, adding Dallas Fort Worth starting in December, another great option for Star Alliance members to the USA.
• Japan Airlines will increase flights between Melbourne and Narita over the peak winter snow season from October 2024 to March 2025.
