Malaysia Airlines A330 Business Class Review
Malaysia Airlines have been busily revamping their business class cabins over the past couple of years, and now fly newly refurbished A330’s with fully flat beds out of Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.
The cabin is light and bright with a light grey and blue colour scheme.
The A330 business class cabin consists of 7 rows of seats arranged in a 1-2-1 and 1-2-2 alternating configuration. This configuration creates a ‘throne seat’ with additional space. Other airlines charge to book this seat, but Malaysia Airlines currently do not.
The seats convert to fully flat beds which stretch to almost 2 metres long, and are 50cm wide. In the sitting position, the seats are spacious with plenty of leg room, and a fully adjustable seat allowing you to select your preferred seating position.
There is plenty of storage within your seat, including space with a door (to house your belongings for takeoff and landing) and vanity mirror for your inflight essentials, as well as a magazine/tablet storage in the seat back below your entertainment screen.
Your seat comes equipped with a power point and USB connection to charge/use your own devices a well a a 16 inch on demand entertainment screen featuring the latest blockbuster and international movies, over 300 TV programs, music albums, and radio stations to keep you entertained throughout your flight.
Onboard we were served a selection of Malay dishes, including the airline’s famous satay sticks.
Breakfast is served onboard this flight, with a choice of Western or Malaysian breakfast and a full service of alcohol.
We opted for the Nasi Lemak, which was delicious and full of flavour, followed by some fresh fruit and Pink Guava juice.
The flight with Malaysia Airlines was extremely comfortable with great service from everyone onboard. The flight from Adelaide departs at 9am, arriving at 2pm so the meal service is timed slightly awkwardly. A lunch service rather than a breakfast could be a better option and we could certainly have eaten more. Snacks are available for business class passengers throughout the flight, just ask your Flight Attendant for what is available.
